Case study
Christian Tour
a project delivered within Memento Group
1. The client
Christian Tour is the largest travel agency in Romania, founded in 1997, with a network of more than 70 owned agencies nationwide alongside its online booking platform [1] [2]. For 2024 the company reported sales revenue of over 792 million lei, up 16% year on year, and is preparing to become the first Romanian travel agency listed on the stock exchange, through an offering of 25% of its shares [2].
Christian Tour is part of Memento Group, a tourism industry group that brings several complementary companies under one umbrella: Christian Tour and Christian 76 Tour as tour operators, AnimaWings as its own airline, and Memento BUS for ground passenger transport, alongside other group brands such as TUI Travel Center, Memento Holidays and Memento Academy [1]. At holding level, the group generated over 1 billion lei in 2024, up roughly 25% on the previous year, with the tourism division accounting for the vast majority of that figure [2].
The company’s market position, the largest travel agency in the country, with the explicit ambition of being “a top leader among tour operators in the region”, places it in a different category from the rest of our portfolio: a corporate client with a complex group structure and operations across several verticals (tourism, aviation, ground transport, insurance) [1].
The listing plan, announced for the first quarter of 2026, targets an offering of roughly 15 million euros, with funds directed toward acquisitions in tourism segments not yet covered and toward regional expansion in the Balkans, a signal of the group’s ambition to grow beyond the Romanian market [2].
2. Context of the engagement
The engagement took place within Memento Group, on the group’s digital platform side. The project is covered by a confidentiality agreement, so this page does not describe, and does not allow anyone to infer, the architecture, technologies, functional components or internal structure of the system delivered, not even in general terms or through functional parallels. We stay at the level of the service category, not the implementation.
That is a deliberate choice, not an omission on the agency’s part: for a client the size of Christian Tour and Memento Group, strict respect for contractual confidentiality matters more than the length of a portfolio page. We prefer a shorter description that is accurate and compliant over a detailed technical narrative that would breach the terms of the engagement.
3. What we did
At the level of the service category, we worked on the group’s digital platform component, a type of project that generally involves fitting into the processes and standards a corporate client already has in place, coordinating with the client’s internal teams, and delivering to a standard of technical and process rigour matched to the scale of an organisation that runs several brands under one umbrella.
We do not detail modules, user roles, specific integrations or technology choices here, however generically they might be phrased; those elements fall within the content covered by the confidentiality agreement. If you want to discuss projects of similar complexity from our portfolio, we can do that directly, in conversation, not on a public page.
4. Results
The engagement notes contain no business figures tied to this project, and the technical details of the delivery remain covered by confidentiality, so we state no quantified result and no description of technical impact. From the agency’s perspective, the value of the engagement lies in having been trusted with a digital project for a corporate group of Memento Group’s scale, in a contractual context that explicitly requires complete discretion about the delivery.
5. Services involved
Without going into implementation detail, the engagement sat within the group’s digital platform area, a service category that maps onto our current lines of work:
- Custom web apps, for digital platform projects built for a corporate client with specific business needs.
- Mobile apps, for the mobile component of this type of project.
- Performance, security & maintenance, for the standards of technical rigour a client of this scale requires.
- Branding & Strategy, for projects that touch the positioning or identity of an already established corporate brand such as Christian Tour.
