Branding & Strategy
The decision document everything visible starts from, not a logo, not a campaign.
Market research, buyer personas and positioning tested with real customers, plus clear architecture if you run more than one brand.
- You got a new logo last year, but nobody in the company can say in three sentences why anyone should pick your brand
- You are launching a new product line or division and the decision on whether it sits under the company name or as a separate brand has been postponed for months
- You have two or three brands stepping on each other after an acquisition or organic expansion, and customers ask whether you are the same company
01 · What it costs you today
Every channel tells a different story
Sales describe the company one way, the website another, the investor deck a third. There is no single document everyone can refer back to.
The architecture decision keeps getting postponed
A new product line or division is waiting on a simple answer: does it go under the company name or on its own. Delay does not make the decision easier, only more expensive.
Brands in the portfolio cannibalise each other
With no explicit rule between entities, customers confuse the products or never realise they belong to the same company, and the marketing budget goes on messages that work against each other.
You already paid for a visual rebrand and nothing changed
New logo, new colours, but the way you sell and the way customers see you stayed exactly the same. The classic symptom of visuals built without clarified positioning behind them.
02 · What you get
Positioning tested with real customers
A positioning statement is not written in the boardroom. We test it through interviews with current and lost customers, not through internal assumptions.
Buyer personas built from real data
Ideal customer profiles built from interviews and from the sales data you make available, not from desk-bound imagination.
Brand architecture map
For companies with several entities: an explicit branded house, sub-brand or independent brand decision, with governance rules for future extensions.
A USP tested against the three original conditions
We check the statement against Rosser Reeves's formula: a concrete proposition, one the competition does not or cannot make, strong enough to actually move people to buy.
Clean handover to the execution team
Message pillars and supporting arguments ready to use in the visual or verbal identity brief, whoever carries the execution forward.
An honest recommendation, including you do not need this
If your situation calls for a refresh rather than a rebrand, or if your current positioning is already solid, we tell you straight, even when it makes the project smaller.
03 · How we work
- 01
Qualification
A free conversation where we check whether the real question is positioning, identity or a full rebrand. Many strategy requests are in fact a request for a new logo.
- 02
Research
Competitor and category analysis, interviews with current and lost customers, sales data you make available.
- 03
Synthesis and validation
We build the personas, the positioning statement and the brand architecture where relevant, then put them up against internal objections in a workshop with your decision makers.
- 04
Delivery and handover
The final document, presented rather than just emailed, with the reasoning behind every decision, handed over cleanly to whoever continues the execution.
04 · Results
- hbledu.roHappy Blue Lessons
Positioning and message architecture, then applied in the identity and the website.
- spitalultulkarem.roTulkarem Hospital
Positioning a medical institution for both a local and an international audience.
- luxeria.roLuxeria
Positioning for made-to-order furniture, in a segment with a long decision cycle.
These are the figures reported by the clients themselves, for their own accounts, over the periods shown. We do not turn them into derived percentages and we do not present them as reproducible.
05 · What people usually ask us
- “I am paying for a document. Why not just give me the logo or the campaign?”
- Because the document is a decision tool you use over and over: in the sales script, in the brief for whoever builds the visuals, in campaign targeting, in hiring interviews. Without it, the answer to why us changes from person to person, and an identity brief built on validated positioning takes fewer revision rounds than one built on assumptions.
- “Our own marketing team can do this.”
- The internal team knows the company best, but rarely has the distance to validate its own assumptions objectively. Positioning works best when it is led externally, with the internal team actively involved, not replaced.
- “It takes too long. We need the website or the campaign now.”
- Core positioning takes 3-4 weeks, less than internal sign-off on a website design usually takes. Without that foundation, the site or campaign either gets expensively reworked later, or comes out technically correct but with nothing to say.
06 · Frequently asked questions
- How long does a core positioning project take?
- Usually 3-4 weeks, from the qualification call to the final validated document.
- Why not go straight to a logo brief, if we need one anyway?
- Because a brief built without validated positioning risks extra revision rounds. The document shortens the path to good visuals, it does not lengthen it.
- We already have a logo and a visual identity. Does positioning strategy still make sense?
- Yes, especially if the identity was made without clarified positioning behind it. It can be validated separately, without touching the existing logo.
- Can you work only on the strategy document, without doing the visual identity?
- Yes. The document is an independent deliverable, handed over cleanly to any execution team, ours or somebody else's.
- How do we measure whether the strategy worked?
- Through indirect indicators in the stages that follow: internal alignment, message consistency, decision speed, and the number of revisions on the design projects that come next.
