Branding & Strategy

A logo that passes tests, not just glances: scalability, contrast, reproducibility, calculated rather than assumed.

Logo, complete visual system and a usable brandbook, with all source files handed over and copyright settled in the contract.

  • You have a logo, possibly a good one, but no rules: it looks different on the site, on Facebook and on an invoice
  • You have outgrown the founder-with-Canva stage and need a system your team can run on its own
  • You are expanding into a new market or language and the current identity has no rules for a different alphabet or context

01 · What it costs you today

  • You only got a PNG, not the source file

The designer on a freelance platform sent an export, not the editable vector. Now you cannot find a file for a roll-up banner or an engraving.

  • Nobody follows the three-page brandbook

Logo and palette, no application rules. It does not explain what to do when you need an error colour on a dark background and the default one fails the contrast test.

  • The logo turns into a smudge as a favicon or avatar

Built without a scalability test, it works on a billboard and disappears at 16 pixels, exactly where it shows up most often today.

  • You do not know who owns the rights

The designer who made the identity is gone, and the contract does not clearly specify the assignment. Paying the invoice does not, in itself, transfer copyright.

02 · What you get

  • A logo tested technically, not just admired

Scalability from 16px to a billboard, monochrome reproducibility, contrast checked on light and dark backgrounds, legal distinctiveness.

  • A palette with contrast calculated to WCAG

Core colours, a neutral scale, functional states, every text and background pair actually in use with its contrast ratio calculated, not assumed.

  • A complete system, not an isolated file

Typography, a shape vocabulary and base rules for visual components, documented as decisions, not just as a list of assets.

  • A brandbook the team actually uses

Application rules, correct and incorrect examples, mandatory variants per background type, so anyone on the team can apply it without calling you.

  • All source files handed over

Editable vector (AI, EPS, SVG or the native Figma file) alongside the full export pack, exactly the point where the market generates most disputes.

  • Copyright settled in the contract

Assignment of the economic rights to you, stated explicitly in the contract under Romanian Law 8/1996, not assumed from a paid invoice.

03 · How we work

  1. 01

    Brief & research

We confirm the existing positioning, audit the current identity if there is one, and set the directions for visual research.

  2. 02

    Concepts & revisions

Two to five logo directions, with two to four revision rounds included, depending on the tier.

  3. 03

    Complete system

Colour, typography, shapes and component rules, tested for scalability, monochrome use, contrast and colour blindness simulation.

  4. 04

    Handover

Final brandbook, source files plus exports, a handoff session with the internal team. Estimated total 4-8 weeks.

04 · Results

  • hbledu.roHappy Blue Lessons

Visual identity and brochure website, built together: wordmark, palette and visual system applied directly in the interface.

These are the figures reported by the clients themselves, for their own accounts, over the periods shown. We do not turn them into derived percentages and we do not present them as reproducible.

05 · What people usually ask us

“I am paying a lot for what looks like a document and a few files.”
What the price hides is the complete system, the technical testing, the source files and the settled rights. A cheap logo with no system gets redone in 6-12 months; an identity package priced over its real lifespan comes to a few tens of lei per month.
“On Fiverr I can get a logo for 200 lei.”
The difference is not drawing talent, it is what is missing from the delivery: no system, no scalability or contrast testing, no source file and no clear rights assignment. The real cost shows up 6-12 months later, when everything has to be redone.
“We will do it in-house, with the marketing team.”
Fine for day-to-day maintenance once the system exists. Building it and running the initial technical testing, calculated contrast, scalability, legal distinctiveness, takes dedicated expertise once, after which the internal team takes over using the brandbook it received.

06 · Frequently asked questions

Do we get the source files, not just the exports?
Yes, the editable vector is part of the handover, alongside the full export pack.
Who owns the rights at the end?
You do, in full, through an assignment stated explicitly in the contract under Romanian Law 8/1996.
How many logo concepts do we get?
Between two and five, depending on the package, with two to four revision rounds included.
How long does a full project take?
Roughly 4-8 weeks, depending on the tier and on how fast feedback comes back.
Do you test accessibility?
Yes: contrast calculated for every pair in use, a test that it works without colour, and colour blindness simulation.
